Kenneth Damien
Technology Lawyer (BlackRock via Re:Link Linklaters)
Kenneth Damien is an award-winning technology lawyer and founder specialising in technology licensing, data privacy and AI. Currently on assignment at BlackRock via Re:Link (Linklaters) he acts as a Privacy and Technology SME in the Digital Enterprise Legal team.
Ken is also the Co-Founder of the Future Impact Summit, an annual technology and social sciences conference hosted at the London School Economics. Now in its third year it has attracted over 500+ attendees.
Ken is the recipient of the Internet 2.0 ‘Outstanding Leadership’ Award for outstanding contributions to the field of technology. He delivered his corresponding keynote entitled ‘Singularity Games: Upgrading Your Technology Risk Strategy in the AI Era’ at Internet 2.0 Conference in Dubai (Feb 2024).
Technology lawyer, Founder Future Impact. I work in the technology space via three core roles:
– Technology Lawyer – I work as an independent legal consultant assisting clients with commercial and data privacy matters. I am currently on assignment at BlackRock via Re:Link (Linklaters) assisting with deal based privacy matters for their Aladdin and eFront product suites. I have previously undertaken roles as a deal lawyer for Google Cloud and as a commercial counsel at Softbank (London). I have interests intellectual property protection, data protection, and cyber security as well as developing practice focus on AI.
– Founder, Future Impact Summit – The Future Impact initiative is an immersive exploration of the global tech, innovation and social science trends that will shape the future. The inaugural Future Impact Summit delivered a groundbreaking programme including 8 flagship panels, a virtual reality experience, a tech expo in Oct 2022. Through the Future Impact Summit, I seek to build on this success to create an annual forum and community bringing together cross-sectional innovators to analyse emerging trends and better address key societal issues.

LSE Alumni Association London – As former Chair and current Advisor to the LSE Alumni London group I am involved in representing and advancing the interests of 40,000+ Alumni based in and around the City of London. Throughout my tenure I have focussed on advancing community building initiatives, seek to support entrepreneurial ventures based out of the School and via our Alumni community and advance social sciences based thought leadership.
